The land was enduring a prolonged famine and scarcity. King David, a man after God’s own heart, realized that this might be a divine judgment, so he inquired of the Lord. God revealed to David the injustice that had been committed in the land, and it was only when justice was carried out that the famine subsided.
Are you facing a time of famine? Is your life devoid of peace, joy, and divine blessings? Have you strayed from the path of life and pierced yourself with many sorrows? Set aside time to inquire of the Lord and ask Him to reveal where you have gone wrong. If a fault is revealed, repent of your wrong and rest in His grace, so that times of refreshing may come, and you may flourish and bear much fruit.
