“Rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” – Colossians 2:7

A sapling stuck in a pot will never have the chance to grow into the tree it was meant to be unless its roots are given the opportunity to delve deeper into life-nourishing soil. Only when it is planted in fertile ground, and its hidden roots grow deeper, does it begin to grow visibly and become stronger to face the storms of life. 

What are the things that are limiting your spiritual life to a mere sapling? Your roots need to grow deeper into Christ so that you may be spiritually built up. As you abide in Him and draw nourishment from His word, you will be encouraged and transformed by His love. The more rooted and grounded you are in His love, the more established and strengthened you will be to face the challenges of this life.
