As humans, we tend to measure our lives by comparing them with others. We feel happy when our accomplishments, appearance, and lifestyle seem better than our neighbour’s. However, the moment someone achieves something greater than us, we are left feeling inadequate and incomplete.
Our stability doesn’t come from our abilities but from knowing that we are complete in Christ. There is nothing more we can do to be accepted by God. He has done all that is needed through Christ to make us acceptable to Him. See what manner of love the Heavenly Father has given us, that we should be called children of God (1 John 3:1). You have been made complete in Christ. You are accepted, loved and precious in His sight. Stop living to gain an identity and start living out of your identity in Christ.
