Many people identify as Christians, yet their lives bear little resemblance to the Christ they profess to follow. They acknowledge Him with their lips but they deny Him through their lifestyle. This disparity exists because they remain entrenched in their old sinful nature, failing to embrace the new life offered through grace.

To truly put on the new self, one must first discard the old self along with its practices. The new cannot be layered over the old. In this renewed nature, a continuous transformation occurs, marked by growth in the experiential knowledge of the Creator and an increasing awareness of unwanted ways that need to be discarded. Through this process, believers become reflections of His love, grace, and compassion, shining light into a broken world.
