Although we are children of God, conflicts and misunderstandings may arise among us. Each individual possesses unique personalities, abilities, gifts, callings, upbringings, experiences, and life purposes. No two people are identical—each of us is distinctive and precious in God’s sight, intentionally positioned for His calling. Yet, these differences and diverging goals can sometimes create friction, making it easy to feel hurt and dwell on that hurt.

It is only by abiding in Christ that we cultivate humility, gentleness, and patience, enabling us to bear with one another. When we lose sight of Christ’s love for us and forget the price He paid to forgive our sins, we struggle to accept others in their weaknesses. However, when we live in the grace and love of Christ, we will be strengthened to forgive and love others.
