“Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and slipped out to a solitary place to pray.” – Mark 1:35

The evening before, Jesus and His disciples had been busy ministering to the sick and casting out demons. Yet, early the next morning—before the sun had risen—Jesus was already awake. Before anyone could call for His attention, He quietly slipped away to commune with His Heavenly Father. For Jesus, this wasn’t a burdensome routine; it was the most essential part of His day.

In the busyness of life, it is often our time with God that suffers. Yet, when we truly grasp its significance, we will intentionally create space for Him, no matter the demands we face. Jesus exemplifies the importance of setting aside both a place and a time for undistracted, intimate communion with God. Let us then ensure that nothing hinders our daily pursuit of His presence.
