When Jesus went up the mountain, He didn’t take the crowd—only those He called. The crowd may have preferred the safety of the plains, avoiding the steep and uncertain climb. But Jesus invites those who are willing to follow, not for personal gain, but in response to His call.
His invitation remains open: “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Yet this rest comes through a journey of faith, not sight. The path may be difficult and demanding, but it leads to joy, purpose, and contentment. The broad road is easy and crowded but offers nothing of lasting value. The narrow way—though steep and treacherous at times—leads to life. Few choose it, but those who do will never walk alone. Jesus is calling you higher, deeper, closer. Will you leave the crowd behind and climb the mountain with Him?
