The three disciples were given a rare and glorious glimpse of Jesus’ divine majesty on the mount of transfiguration. They watched in awe as He conversed with Moses and Elijah—giants of the faith, heroes of Israel’s history. Overwhelmed, Peter suggested building shelters for all three, as if to preserve the moment and honour each one equally. But then, a cloud of divine glory enveloped them, and the voice of the Father declared, “This is My beloved Son. Listen to Him.”
We, too, are blessed with wise preachers, teachers, and spiritual guides. Their insights encourage and shape our journey. But in our admiration, we must be careful not to elevate them to a place that belongs to Jesus alone. When the voices fade and the lights dim, may it be said of us: we saw no one with us but Jesus. Let Him be our focus, our joy, and our hope—now and always.
