As Jesus prepared His disciples for the end of the age, He warned them of a rising tide of deception. False prophets would appear, claiming to represent Him, yet their teachings would lead many astray. Not everyone who bears the name of Christ truly belongs to Him. Jesus said, “You will know them by their fruits.”
We must be cautious of anyone who claims a new revelation that contradicts God’s Word or seeks to draw attention to themselves rather than Christ. Likewise, a life marked by immorality, greed, or violence betrays a heart far from God. True followers of Christ uphold His Word and model lives of humility, holiness, and love. They lead not in their own strength or righteousness but in the grace and righteousness freely given through faith in Jesus. Let us cling to His truth, discern with His Spirit, and follow the Shepherd who never deceives.
