The world often teaches us to guard ourselves, warning that kindness makes us vulnerable to exploitation. Many fear that showing compassion will lead to loss or disappointment. Yet, Scripture reminds us that true kindness is never wasted. When we extend love, gentleness, and generosity, we not only lift others but also receive blessings in return. God promises that “those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.”
Cruelty, however, brings ruin. Those who delight in harming or oppressing others may seem powerful for a time, but their end is emptiness and sorrow. In contrast, kindness plants seeds of joy, peace, and divine favour that return abundantly to the giver. In a world hardened by selfishness and cruelty, let your life shine with God’s kindness. Choose to bless others with your words, love and resources. In doing so, you will discover that kindness is not a burden but a pathway to God’s overflowing blessing.
