“The naive believes everything, But the sensible man considers his steps.” – Proverbs 14:15

We live in an age where countless voices compete for our attention. Social media, news outlets, and online platforms flood us with opinions, predictions, and instructions. Yet not all of these are grounded in truth. Many are designed to mislead, provoke fear, or stir up hatred and discontent. If we accept everything at face value, we risk being swept away by deception.

The saying “ignorance is bliss” may sound comforting, but it is a dangerous posture. Our minds absorb what we dwell on, just like a sponge in water. If we soak in lies or half-truths, we will eventually reflect them in our lives. That is why Scripture calls us to pause and “consider our steps.” God’s Word provides the unchanging standard in a world where right and wrong are often blurred. Let your convictions be anchored in His truth, so you may walk wisely and not be led astray.
