We all make plans—whether about our careers, families, or the simple details of daily life. Planning shows wisdom and responsibility, but Scripture reminds us that our plans are never ultimate. It is God who establishes our steps. Sometimes life takes turns we never expected, and our carefully laid out path is suddenly redirected. In those moments, we realize that our security lies not in our plans, but in God’s sovereign hand.
This truth doesn’t discourage us from planning; rather, it teaches us to plan with humility and dependence on the Lord. As we prayerfully commit our ways to Him, we can trust that He is guiding us—even when the road looks different from what we imagined. His wisdom is higher, and His purposes are always good. So, plan diligently and commit your ways to the Lord in prayer but trust Him to faithfully direct your steps.
