“Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house.” – Proverbs 24:27

God’s Word reminds us that priorities matter. In ancient times, a farmer’s field was his livelihood. If he built a house before securing a harvest, his family would lack food and resources. The same wisdom applies today. Before seeking comfort, appearances, or luxuries, we must wisely manage what God has already placed in our hands.

Planning is not a sign of doubting God—it is faith expressed through stewardship. Careful preparation honours His provision and shields us from unnecessary struggles. Jesus also urged us to count the cost before beginning a project (Luke 14:28–30). In the same way, we should resist rushing into financial commitments just to match others. Instead, prayerfully prioritize what truly matters: necessities before extras, God’s calling before personal desires. As you walk with patience, diligence, and integrity, the Lord will bless your work and establish you for His glory.
