It is only human to put our trust in other humans though they are limited and fragile, just like us. Even the strongest leader or the kindest friend cannot be our ultimate source of security. Though they make strong proclamations, they will invariably disappoint us if we make them our only source of hope and expectation.
Unlike man, God is eternal. His strength does not fade, His wisdom never runs out, and His love endures forever. When we place our trust in Him, we find a foundation that cannot be shaken. Disappointments may come from human hands, but God’s promises remain sure. So take heart—your hope is safe in the LORD. He is more faithful than princes, more powerful than armies, and more loving than the dearest companion. Rest in Him, for those who trust in the LORD will never be put to sha me.
