We live in times of rapid change. What is considered standard today will soon be deemed obsolete. Threats and uncertainty cause fickle-minded leaders to make drastic decisions that weary our minds and tax our souls. In such a scenario, if we are guided by the sights and sounds of the world, we will stumble, unsure of the direction in which we should move.
More than ever, it is vital that we walk by faith and not by sight. What our physical eyes see is just the surface of a battle waged by the forces of darkness in the heavenly realms. If you fix your eyes on the temporal things of the world, you will be swayed like a puppet to the tune of the prince of darkness.
“But this is the victory that helps us overcome the trials and temptations of this world – our faith.” (1 John 5:4,5)
