It takes great wisdom to interact with those who don’t share your ideology or worldview—especially when they’re hostile toward you. Human nature often urges us to fight fire with fire, to respond with “an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.” But heavenly wisdom is different. As James 3:17 says, it is “pure, peace-loving, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” And as Romans 12:21 says, “Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.”
Moreover, we must make the most of every opportunity God gives us to positively influence others with the love of Christ. Too often, we waste time on non-essential things, leaving little room for what truly matters. May God grant us the grace to steward our time wisely—so that we may grow in His wisdom and share it with the world around us.
