God, through Christ, created all things not for their personal glory but for His own glory and pleasure. For that reason, some people see God as selfish and autocratic. Now, imagine if an AI-powered robot rebelled against the very human who created it for a purpose and acted contrary to what was commanded of it. Would you consider its creator evil and selfish for decommissioning or destroying his creation?
Yet, when the world was corrupted by the rebellion of mankind, God did not annihilate His creation. Because of His great mercy, we are not consumed. Instead, we, the objects of His wrath, are transformed into objects of His grace through the love of Christ so that we may gladly serve Him with all our heart, mind, and soul. It is in glorifying God that we find eternal meaning and purpose for our lives. Those who are in Christ have been created twice and should have double the motivation to serve God.
