When mankind rebels against God, it is Satan and his forces that try to leverage it for their own agenda. Satan loathes humanity, for they are created in the image of God, with the potential to be wholehearted lovers of God. Satan’s aim is to tempt us into sinning so that he can keep us under guilt and shame.
Your sin is a weapon that the enemy uses to control your life. Every time you sin, you provide ammunition for Satan to accuse you before God, question your faith, and demand your punishment. But on the cross, Jesus paid the price and took the judgment for your sins. In doing so, the enemy has lost the power to hold you in the clutches of guilt and fear. To believe in the work of the cross is to be set free from judgment, guilt, and shame to live the life God wants you to live.
