“But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea.” – Mark 9:42

Jesus issues a grave warning against leading a young believer into sin. His words underscore the seriousness of influencing others—especially those new in faith—through careless actions or ungodly example. Greatness in God’s kingdom isn’t about power or popularity, but about humility, integrity, and a heart that nurtures others.

New believers need encouragement, sound teaching, and lives they can safely imitate. Are we mindful of how our words and choices impact them? Do our lives reflect Christ—or do they lead others into doubt, bitterness, or compromise? One day, we will stand before God. Will the “little ones” in the faith say we helped them grow, or that we caused them to fall? Let us be sources of strength, pointing others to Christ by our love, truth, and consistent walk with God.
