“Children, obey your parents in everything for this is pleasing to the Lord.” – Colossians 3:20

One of the characteristics of the last days, as proclaimed in Scripture and evident in our societies, is that people will be disobedient to their parents (2 Timothy 3:2). Under the influence of social media and materialism, more and more children are succumbing to peer pressure, giving in to behaviours that ultimately harm their spirit, soul, and body.

God has placed within parents a natural desire to care for their children and seek their well-being. While most parents genuinely strive for their children’s good, they may sometimes fall short due to ignorance or human limitations. Nevertheless, when children choose to obey their parents in all areas of life, it is pleasing to the Lord. However, Ephesians 6:1 clarifies that our obedience to earthly parents should never conflict with our devotion to our Heavenly Father. As the Father of all, He alone deserves our highest honor.
