Jesus is asking each of us this question today: “Do you love Me more than anything else in your life?” When you declare your love for the great Shepherd of your soul, He will invite you to the privilege of feeding His lambs.
The Lord desires more from us than just open arms continually waiting to receive His blessings. The one who truly loves the Giver more than the blessings they receive will become a shepherd to others. There is always someone who needs to be fed materially, emotionally, or spiritually. God has given each of us varied abilities to help us be a source of blessings to others. The one who truly loves the Shepherd will serve the flock of God among them, not out of compulsion but out of love. And when the chief Shepherd appears, they will receive the unfading crown of glory (1 Peter 5:4).
