An axe or saw can only work when placed in the hands of one who wields it. On their own, they are powerless and without purpose. The sharpness of the blade or the strength of the teeth is meaningless apart from the hand that directs them. In the same way, we are but instruments in the hands of our Creator. Our skills, wisdom, and accomplishments are not the result of our own power but the gracious gift of God, who chooses to use us for His purposes.
Therefore, let us not boast in what we achieve, as if it were our own doing. Let us not become proud and arrogant in our success. Instead, let us humbly acknowledge His hand at work in us and give thanks to the One who empowers, guides, and sustains us daily.
