The disciples had seen Jesus perform miracle after miracle—stilling storms, healing the sick, and feeding thousands with just a few loaves. Yet when the next trial came, fear gripped them again. Despite all they had witnessed, their hearts remained hardened, and they failed to recognize the deeper truth behind the signs.
How often are we the same? We see God’s faithfulness in our past yet panic at the first sign of trouble. His Word speaks clearly; His goodness surrounds us—but it never reaches deep enough to change how we respond. We remember facts but miss the heart-transforming power behind them. Today, let us not harden our hearts. When God speaks, let us listen. When He moves, let us believe. Let the Spirit engrave His goodness deep within, rooting us in Christ’s love. Then, no storm, no lack, no fear will shake our trust in the One who has never failed us.
