“Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.” – Colossians 1:12

Every four years, athletes from around the world compete in the Olympics to win the highest prize. In order to compete with the best in the world, they have to qualify for the final event. Failure to qualify in the heats means you go home without a hope of participation and final glory.  

Am I qualified to share in the glorious inheritance of the saints of old? When I consider my thoughts and my actions, I know that I am not worthy enough. In fact, none of us are. We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. But the Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus imparts on the one who believes a righteousness that qualifies them to participate in the glorious inheritance of the holy ones and to share in His eternal glory.
