“He appointed twelve of them, whom He designated as apostles…” – Mark 3:14

When Jesus went up the mountain, He called His followers to Himself. From among them, He chose twelve to be His apostles—those who would stay close, listen, and be sent out to preach. The rest were also called, but to different roles, each according to His divine plan.

As believers, we are all God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works prepared in advance for us (Ephesians 2:10). But not all are called to the same assignment. Some teach, others organize, write, mentor, provide, or counsel. Some are visible on platforms, while others serve quietly in homes. Yet each role is sacred. There is no task too small or too grand when it’s done for God’s glory. When you walk the path Christ leads you on, He will reveal what He has designed you to be. Don’t compare or despair. Simply be faithful to His calling, trusting that your part in His plan matters deeply.
