“He forgave us all our trespasses, having cancelled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us. He took it away, nailing it to the cross!” – Colossians 2:13,14

Many private properties display signs warning that trespassers will be prosecuted. As God’s creation and His possession, we were all made to live within certain boundaries. Yet, in our rebellion, we have crossed those limits, and according to God’s righteous laws, judgment has been decreed against us. 

The penalty for our repeated trespasses is one we cannot afford to pay, for the wages of sin is death and separation from God. But we don’t have to live in fear of judgement and death. Because of His great love for us, our Heavenly Father through Christ, has cancelled our unpayable debt of sin by nailing it to the cross. Yes, Christ paid our debt in full. Now, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
