“He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” – Mark 2:7

There are some who claim that Jesus never declared Himself to be God in the Gospels. But His divinity shines through in the very things He said and did. When He told the paralyzed man that his sins were forgiven, He was doing what only God has the authority to do—for Scripture clearly teaches that only God can forgive sins (Exodus 34:6–7; Psalm 103:3; Isaiah 43:25)

Jesus is not merely a prophet, as some would suggest. He is fully God and fully man—a mystery too great for our finite minds to fully grasp. Yet in love, He took on human flesh to become our perfect Savior and Mediator. His love was so profound, that He was willing to go to the cross to rescue us and bring us back to the heart of the Father. Such divine love invites us to respond with loving devotion — to surrender our hearts in worship and obedience.
