When questioned by the High Priest, Jesus boldly affirmed His identity as the Messiah and Son of the Blessed One. He linked His words to Daniel 7:13, where the Son of Man is given everlasting dominion in the Father’s Kingdom. This declaration was so striking that the High Priest tore his garments and accused Him of blasphemy—sealing His sentence of death.
Some still argue Jesus never claimed to be the Son of God. Yet His own words, and the cross that followed, testify otherwise. His claim cost Him His life, but His resurrection proved it true. God foretold it, Jesus declared it, and His enemies condemned it. But all who truly believe and confess Jesus as Lord share in His Kingdom. They are clothed with love, grace, peace and an eternal security that only He can bestow.
