John the Baptist’s mission was simple yet profound: to show people how they had strayed from God. Through baptism, he called them to publicly repent of their sins and seek God’s forgiveness. Yet, his role was limited—he was powerless to transform hearts. However, he pointed to One far mightier than himself, who would break the chains of sin, renew hearts, and fill them with the Holy Spirit.
This Resurrection Sunday, Jesus invites you to rise into the new life only He can offer. By the same power through which He rose from the grave, He is ready to lift you out of your dead circumstances. By the price He paid for your sins, He is more than able to cleanse you and make you the temple of the Holy Spirit. Through the risen Saviour, let the old be gone and let the new life of peace, joy, faithfulness and love be established in your heart through the Spirit.
