“If indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel…” – Colossians 1:23

It is very easy to slide from a life of faith to one dictated by our senses. Unless we are firm in our faith and established in God’s word, we will gradually deviate from the eternal hope of the gospel to the temporal hope this world has to offer. 

Christ’s transforming work occurs only when you are firmly rooted in your faith in Him. Those who shift from faith to doubt will be like waves of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. They will always be pulled in different directions, unsettled and untransformed. Therefore, be alert, disciplined in your prayers, and consistent in your meditation on God’s word. As you fellowship with Him and live in humble obedience to His every word, you will be firmly established in your journey of faith.
