King Uzziah was one of Judah’s better rulers. He brought reforms, strengthened the nation, and led the people toward revival. Yet, at the height of his power, pride crept in and led to his downfall. His untimely death left Judah shaken with grief and uncertainty. It was then that Isaiah received a life-changing vision—God was still on the throne, reigning sovereign over all.
Like Judah, we often find comfort and stability in people, possessions, or achievements. But when those pillars crumble, fear and anxiety can overwhelm us. Isaiah’s vision reminds us that the Lord remains unshaken by the chaos of this world. His throne is never vacant, and His reign never ends. When we lift our eyes to Him and draw near through the way opened by Jesus, we discover a peace that cannot be shaken. No matter what falls apart around us, God is still on the throne.
