“So Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers, read it, and went up to the house of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD.” – Isaiah 37:14

King Hezekiah faced a terrifying crisis when the king of Assyria sent a letter filled with threats and insults, boasting of his conquests and promising Judah’s destruction. Yet, instead of panicking or retaliating, Hezekiah did something remarkable—he took the letter straight to the house of God and spread it out before the Lord. In doing so, he declared that the battle was not his, but God’s.

What letter or message has reached your heart today—one that fills you with fear, rejection, or despair? Maybe it’s bad news, a threat, or a crushing disappointment. Don’t let it consume you. Like Hezekiah, take it to the Lord and spread it out before Him in prayer. The living God still hears, still sees, and still delivers. When you place your burdens before Him, He turns threats into testimonies and despair into victory.
