The moment Simon’s mother-in-law was healed from her fever by Jesus, she immediately rose to serve Him and His disciples. Although her illness had likely caused many household chores to pile up, she prioritized Jesus’ ministry over her own needs. With people continually coming to the house to be ministered to by Him, she devoted herself fully to supporting His work.
When Jesus saves and heals you, it is not so you can pursue your own desires and ambitions. You have been saved by grace, not through your own works, so that you may walk in the good works God prepared in advance for you (Ephesians 2:10). Therefore, do not lack zeal or spiritual fervour. Instead, with the strength and might that God provides, faithfully carry out the work He has entrusted to you. Let your goals and your vision align fully with His purpose and plan for your life.
