When we look at the situation Abraham and Sarah were in, we can’t help but think how hopeless it seemed. Abraham was a hundred years old, and Sarah was ninety. The promise of having descendants as numerous as the stars seemed as distant as the stars themselves. But Abraham believed that God could bring life out of his almost dead body and bring into existence things that did not exist. Even when there was no reason for hope, he kept hoping in the God who makes the impossible possible.
God does not need a minimum set of requirements to change your life and fulfill His promises. All He is looking for is a surrendered heart that draws near in faith—hearts that believe He is more than capable of bringing life out of dead situations and creating new things out of nothing.
