“The soul of the lazy one craves and gets nothing, but the soul of the diligent is made prosperous.” – Proverbs 13:4

How often do we procrastinate, dreaming of what we desire but never moving toward it? Many waste hours admiring the lives of the successful, or even envying the spiritual growth of the faithful, yet remain frustrated by their own lack of progress. Craving without action leads only to emptiness.

God’s Word reminds us that prosperity—both spiritual and physical—comes through diligence. He does not bless idleness or excuse laziness disguised as waiting on Him. Instead, He calls us to labour faithfully in prayer, in studying His Word, and in the work He places in our hands. Every step of obedience requires intention and perseverance. The time for excuses has passed. If we long for growth, blessing, and purpose, we must walk diligently in the path God has set before us. In diligence, we not only find fulfilment but also God’s approval and abundant grace.
