“…These people honour Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.” – Mark 7:6

Around the world, countless voices rise daily in praise to God. Songs are sung, prayers are recited, and traditions are followed—all in honor of God. Yet Jesus reminds us that not all worship pleases God. Lip service and empty rituals, no matter how beautiful, are not what He desires. He longs for hearts that seek Him sincerely, not just out of habit or tradition.

It’s easy to settle for surface-level faith, to sing the right songs and say the right words while our hearts chase after selfish desires. But God sees beyond appearances. He looks at our motives, our affections, and the direction of our lives. If God looked at my worship today, what would He find? A heart truly devoted—or just empty words? Let us not settle for outward religion. Instead, may we honour God with hearts that are humble, sincere, and fully surrendered to Him.
