“…They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors.” – Isaiah 14:2

When Judah rebelled and turned away from the Lord, their strength faded. Their enemies seizing the opportunity overpowered them and made them slaves. Yet God, in His mercy, promised restoration in due time. He would again strengthen His people so they would overcome those who oppressed them.

Today, our struggle is not against human foes but against the unseen powers of darkness that seek to bind us in fear, sin, addiction, pride, and despair. But in Christ, we have a greater deliverance. He came to set the captives free and to give us victory over every stronghold that seeks to enslave our hearts and minds. Through His power, we can take captive every thought and temptation that once ruled over us. The same God who restored Judah now empowers us to live in freedom and triumph through Jesus Christ our Lord.
