Israel forgot that the same Egypt they once escaped from could never be their saviour. In their fear, they turned to worldly strength instead of divine help. God’s warning still stands today—when you face battles, do you run to the world’s solutions or to the Lord?
Many of our greatest struggles are not physical but spiritual, fought in the unseen realm of the mind and heart. The help of this world is unreliable and limited, but God’s strength is steadfast. Stop leaning on what cannot save you. Instead, anchor your faith in the Rock that never moves. Bring every concern to God in prayer and thanksgiving. As you trust Him fully, His peace that transcends human understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6,7).
