Before the world came into existence, the eternal Father, Son, and Spirit dwelled in perfect love, unity, and harmony. Yet, for the love of mankind, the Father sent the Son to reveal His compassion to a broken world. Taking on human form, the Son grew before the Father as a tender shoot out of dry ground, pleasing Him in every way. Despite this, the Father chose to crush Him on the cross, pouring out the wrath meant for our sins upon Him. Through this act, He demonstrated His boundless love for us, enabling those who were children of darkness to become children of God.
If God was willing to give His very best for you, there is no reason to question His love or feel unloved today. As our Creator and Master, who sacrificed His best for us, He more than deserves our utmost devotion. Because He first loved us, we can, in turn, love Him with all our mind, soul, heart, and strength.
